Arkansas RV Dealer Steps Up

Last week I had the opportunity to go down to just North of Little Rock, AR to a town called Sherwood, Arkansas. In a great location just off Route 167 is a fantastic Arkansas RV Dealer called River City RV.

These guys have been through the ringer with trying to get a profitable website marketing program off the ground. They were with RVTraderOnline, then tried to make it happen in-house. Neither worked very well and they went a lookin. Glad they found us! They found us by searching other RV Dealers online, so that's encouraging that the marketing we do for ourselves works too:)

Anyway, Paul, TJ, Amber, Andy and the bunch there are great people and trying their best to make River City RV a great place to buy and get service for your RV. If you are in the market for a new RV or need service and are in the Little Rock area be sure to stop by one of their two locations.

Websites that Win!

I seem to find the best time to update my masterful pieces of literary artwork (aka ramblings), when I travel. So here I sit at Bishop Airport in Flint, MI at 5am. A little early for me, but to get working this afternoon in Little Rock, AR sacrifices must be made. I'm on my way to River City RV in Sherwood, AR, a suburb of Little Rock. These guys are excited to get going and we share in their enthusiasm and goals.

If you've flown in the last few days you'll know the additional restrictions on what you can carry onto the plane. Crazy stuff! No bottled water, no toothpaste, no hair gel, no shampoo, etc... It's ok to have these things in checked-in luggage, but if you're only traveling for a few days, checking baggage can be more of a hassle than it's worth.

As I went through the security checkpoint to get to my gate this morning, I did the usual ... pull the laptop out of my bag, remove my shoes, and nervously run my hands over my pocket areas trying to discover the one thing that will make me the point of everyones attention as I go through the metal detector. Happy to report I made it without getting noticed:) While sitting at the end of the checkpoint putting on my shoes for the second time in an hour my nose picked up a curious odor. Rubbing Alcohol! Now, the mind sure can run the imagination with the smell of rubbing alcohol and a bunch of people dressed in white top uniforms wearing rubber gloves.

The most recent RV Dealer that has allowed us to partner with them is quite a large dealership in the U.S., which I'll reveal at a later time:) The point I want to make is that no matter how large or how small a dealership is they all have the same basic needs ... selling RVs and Servicing Customers. What product lines they sell, their location, and other factors help to determine what makes them special and/or unique. But when it comes down to it someone looking for a RV is going to land on their website. This person could be a male or female. They could have cash in hand or need to finance. They could be married with or without children. They might want to travel weekends or full-time it. They might have had a good or very bad experience with the previous RV they owned 20 years ago. They could be a first time buyer that knows very little about RVs. Where am I going with this?

Whether you are large or small. The prospective customer is the one you are designing and preparing your website for. Yes, there may be a few small things that your dealership staff can gain benefit from, but overall it's about your prospect/customer. Losing sight of that fact will keep you up at night 6 months from now wondering why your website isn't producing results. Make it about meeting the desires and needs of your prospects and customers then you'll have a winning website that will keep a smile on your face and better sleep at night.
